Abstract
The purpose of this article is to show the methodological proposal for the establishment of linked open data for the National Library of Costa Rica «Miguel Obregón Lizano», in order to determine if it has the necessary elements so that its automated management system allows, through the principles, standards and data modeling link its bibliographic data so that it is accessible, usable and reusable in the environment of linked open data. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, using the case study method with evidence-based research. One of the main findings of this research is to highlight the importance of the National Library of Costa Rica entering this field so that it can position itself as a pioneer and main reference for other libraries in Costa Rica, in the use of linked data, since these they provide a solid platform to improve the quality and scope of the services they offer today.
