Abstract
This paper proposes the verification of the model about author productivity proposed by Lotka, in its generalized form, for researchers of the National University of Asuncion who published between 2015 and 2020 in Paraguayan journals, collected in SciELO, in the areas of Medical and Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences. A total of 627 documents included in 15 journal titles were collected. In the four areas studied, the adjustment of the authors’ production to Lotka’s postulate was verified, with a significant proportion of sporadic authors. The study demonstrates the possibility of testing the model in different scientific areas in a period of less than 10 years.
