Abstract
THIS PAPER INCLUDES THE RESULTS OF A STUDY WITCH WAS BASED ON THE EMPLOYMENT AN NOUNCE MENTS FOR LIBRARIANS DURING THE YEARS 1998-2002 IN THE SUNDAY NEWSPAPER OF LIMA EL COMERCIO, AND COMPLEMENTED WITH INFORMATION OBTAINED WITH NITICES OF THE LABOR MARKET PUBLISHED BY PONTIFICAIL UNIVERSDAD CATOLICA DEL PERU DURING 2002. THE FIRST IS A SUMMARY OF PREVIOUS WORK ON THE LABOR MARKET FOR LIBRERIANS IN PERU. THE SECOND PART INCLUDES THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY WHOSE FINAL SAMPLE IS MADE UP OF 48 EMPLOYMENT NITICES. THE PERUVIAN JOB MARKET FOR LIBRARIANS (AND ARCHIVISTS) DOES NOT LOOK PROMISING BUT INSTEAD SHOWS DETERIORATING CONDITIONS.Authors:
