Abstract
THE NOVEL EL NOMBRE DE LA ROSA AFFORDS US WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THE SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MEDIEVAL LIBRARY AND ALLOWS US TO INVESTIGATE HOW HIS WAS IN GREAT MEASURE A CONSEQUENCE OF AND AN OBEDIENCE TO THE HISTORICAL AND SOCIAL CONTEXT OF THE TIME. THE REVIEW SHOWS THE MECHANISMS FOR CENSORSHIP AND THE ROLE THE LIBRARIAN. HIMSELF PLAYED IN THIS.
