Abstract
This paper analyzes the scientific collaboration social network of Spanish universities within the field of chemical engineering. The network consists of documents published on the Web of Science over a period of seven years. The study employs social network analysis as the most appropriate approach for understanding the capacity for collaboration, dissemination and transfer of knowledge between universities. The paper examines network cohesion and density, the role and degree of centrality of universities in these processes and the existence of sub-groups within the social network. Data gathered was analyzed using the UCINET 6.258 and NetDraw 2.091 software. Each university’s H-index score is reported as an indicator of the impact of the research.Authors:
