Abstract
LA MAYORÍA DE LAS NACIONES, CUALQUIERA QUE FUERA SU NIVEL DE INDUSTRIALIZACIÓN, LOGRARON ALCANZAR UN ALTO NIVEL DE CRECIMIENTO ECONÓMICO DURANTE LOS SESENTA Y COMIENZO DE LOS SETENTA. SE HA CONSIDERADO QUE UN PERÍODO TAN FRUCTÍFERO JUGÓ UN PAPEL VITAL EN EL DESARROLLO DE LOS PAÍSES. UN ESTUDIO DE TALES CAMBIOS, EN SECTORES NACIONALES COMO EL DE BIBLIOTECAS Y EDITORIALES ES ÚTIL PARA COMPRENDER LOS EFECTOS DE LAS CONDICIONES SOCIOECONÓMICAS EN EL SUMINISTRO DE LA INFORMACIÓN A LA SOCIEDAD EL PRESENTE ESTUDIO PRETENDE ANALIZAR LA INFLUENCIA DE LOS FACTORES SOCIOECONÓMICOS EN EL SUMINISTRO DE INFORMACIÓN EN UNA MUESTRA DE PAÍSES DE ALTO, MEDIANO Y BAJO DESARROLLO. PARA DETERMINAR ESTE FENÓMENO, EL PROYECTO DE INVESTIGACIÓN MIDE LA TRANSMISIÓN DE REGISTROS DE INFORMACIÓN A PERSONAS A TRAVÉS DE BIBLIOTECAS Y EDITORIALES. EL DESARROLLO SOCIOECONÓMICO, POR OTRA PARTE, SE MIDE USANDO EL CONCEPTO ECONÓMICO DE ""LAS NECESIDADES BÁSICAS"", LAS CUALES ESTÁN BASADAS EN LOS INDICADORES SOCIALES Y HUMANOS, EN VEZ DE DEPENDER DE INDICADORES PURAMENTE ECONÓMICOS COMO EL PRODUCTO NACIONAL BRUTO (PNB) PERCÁPITA. EN OTRAS PALABRA, LOS OBJETIVOS DE LA INVESTIGACIÓN SON: 1) LA COMPARACIÓN DE VARIOS ASPECTOS DEL CRECIMIENTOS DE LA INFORMACIÓN IMPRESA ENTRE PAÍSES DE POCO, MEDIANO Y ALTO DESARROLLO DESDE 1960 HASTA 1977. 2) EL ESTUDIO DE LOS FACTORES SOCIOECONÓMICOS QUE IMPULSAN O IMPIDEN EL DESARROLLO DE LA INFORMACIÓN. LOS DATOS USADOS EN ESTE TRABAJO SE TOMARON PRINCIPALMENTE DE LAS SERIES DE DATOS DEL BANCO MUNDIAL, UNESCO Y EL CONSORCIO INTERUNIVERSITARIA AMERICANA PARA LA INVESTIGACIÓN POLÍTICA. PRIMERO: SE SELECCIONÓ UN GRUPO DE PAÍSES CON DATOS DISPONIBLES. SEGUNDO: LAS SERIES PERTENECIENTES A ESTOS CASOS SE ESTÁN EXAMINANDO PARA IDENTIFICAR EL DESARROLLO DE LA INFORMACIÓN, EL SOCIOECONÓMICO APLICANDO UN ANÁLISIS ESTADÍSTICO UNIVARIABLE TAL COMO LA REGRESIÓN Y CORRELACIÓN. TERCERO. UN ANÁLISIS MULTIVARIABLE ULTERIOR, TAL COMO ANÁLISIS DE FACTORES, SERÁ APLICADO PARA CONSTRUIR UN ÍNDICE, EN EL CUAL SE ESPERA INFERIR TENDENCIAS DE MAYOR CRECIMIENTO ENTRE LOS CASOS ESTUDIADOS. LA INVESTIGACIÓN CONCLUIRÁ A FINES DE 1987.Authors:
