Abstract

Our research is situated in the context of International Cooperation policy and postgraduate studies in Library Science and Information. We set out the broad horizons that the new European Higher Education Area (EHEA) offers, with the aim of internationalizing higher education studies. With this in mind, we start with a reflection on the role research plays in the knowledge society; followed by a brief diagnosis of Postgraduate Studies in the EHEA, more specifically within the Faculty of Documentation, and finally we propose several measures for International Cooperation, by means of academic cooperation agreements.
